This project is located in Hamden, CT. The original vestibule was in a state of terrible disrepair and the clients wanted an open portico with classic brick steps and brownstone treads in its place. The client worked extensively with a local historical designer to produce a design that fit the period of the house.
The portico features an EPDM roof with copper edging, PVC trim in the critical areas to avoid future rot, a new winding sidewalk color matched to look like the brownstone treads, and internally routed roof drains.
